WELCOME TO THE ISLE OF SKYE
We are a family run B&B situated in Sleat, the ‘garden of Skye’, so called because of its gentle, green surroundings and areas of woodland.
Up high on a hill we have unsurpassed views over the Sound of Sleat to Knoydart, Mallaig and beyond.
Bracken Brae is ideally located in the village of Ardvasar, just a couple of minutes drive from the Armadale ferry terminal, or a 30 minute drive from the Skye bridge. We are walking distance from many amenities including a pub, shop, cafe and Clan Donald Visitor Centre and Museum.

Your hosts at Bracken Brae are Willie and Jasmine, our two children Erol and Josie and our border collie Peigi.
We warmly welcome you into our busy family home and hope that you love Bracken Brae as much as we do!
We have two luxury private rooms in our newly built annex. They are separate from the house and so are private and quiet. You can relax in a large, stylish and beautiful bedroom and luxury shower room with underfloor heating and waterfall shower. Step through the sliding doors onto your private, covered decking with glass balustrade so as not to disturb the fantastic views.
Both of our guest rooms are suitable for a maximum of 2 adults.
A delicious home-cooked breakfast will be served in your bedroom at your chosen time between 7.30-9am.
If you would like dinner in your room, this can be arranged at an additional cost. Please see the menu options below and get in touch with us if it's something you would like to arrange.

Below is a typical example of our breakfast menu. We hope that there is something for all dietary requirements but if you have any questions please get in touch. Breakfast is ordered the night before and brought over to your room in the morning at a time of your choosing between 7.30 and 9.00am. You can choose something different for everyday of your stay.

BOOKING
Reservations should be made through our online booking page below.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional enquiries before making a booking.
Payments by bacs, and the following cards:
Visa, Mastercard.
A deposit of 50% of the booking total is required.
The deposit will be refunded according to the cancellation conditions.
Full booking balance is due on the day of arrival.
If the booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made.
If the booking is cancelled less than 2 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.
If the booking is cancelled 14 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to £15 per booking will be made.
In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

If you use our postcode in a satnav to find your way here, you might find yourselves at our neighbours’ house!
When you arrive in the Armadale area, follow signs to Ardvasar (the first left turn if you are coming off the ferry). Once in the village you will go past the shop, village hall and Ardvasar Hotel on your right. You will then pass, on your left, a grey corrugated building with a BT phone box outside it. Continue for 50 meters up a little hill, and just before you reach the top take the right turn signposted to Bracken Brae and Calligary cottages (look for the signs on the wall at the right hand side of the road). Bracken Brae is on your left near the top of the hill - a white house with a wooden shed next door.
